Canada’s extended family of national historic sites includes locations that embody and reveal multiple facets of our nation’s history and identity. The mission of the Battle of the Restigouche National Historic Site is to:

  • commemorate the last naval battle between France and Britain for possession of the North American continent,
  • protect and present resources of national historic significance and promote public understanding and appreciation of them.
