A garage sale will take place under the big top at Coteau-du-Lac National historic site, on Saturday, May 19, between 10 am and 5 pm.

Sunday, July 1st, from 1 pm to 10:30 pm

Canada Day at Coteau-du-Lac National Historic Site is now a must. Celebrate this event by participating in family activities.

2 pm to 5 pm: Inflatable games, costumed interpretation, children’s rally and face painting
3 pm: Tasting Canada Day cake
3:30 pm to 5:30 pm: Music and dance
5:30 pm to 8 pm: Animation and show, kiosks of community organizations
8 pm: Musical show (band to be confirmed)
10 pm: Fireworks

Free admission for all, during all day!

Enjoy your visit at Fort Coteau-du-Lac to familiarize yourself with its nature component! Observe and preserve all these little creatures (winged fauna, turtles, frogs, insects, etc.) and various plants along the lock canal, the Delisle River and the St. Lawrence River. You will have a good idea of its biodiversity. Come see our guides to play with the BioBlitzBox!

As a bonus, the main character from Day camp activities will be there to launch some fun little challenges.

At Coteau-du-Lac National Historic Site, archeology themed activities will take place every Saturday and Sunday in August, i.e. August 4, 5, 11, 12, 18, 19, 25 and 26.

Come discover our archeological circuit in the company of passionate guides and explore the remains of the Coteau du Lac's fort. Experience the life of a military garrison while enjoying the opportunity to take magnificent photos of a historic site situated right by the Saint Lawrence River!

Travel through the centuries and discover objects found during archaeological digs in Coteau du Lac with our historical drawers! You can learn more about the different groups that visited this crossing point to traverse the formidable rapids in Coteau du Lac.

Want to feel like a real archaeologist? Learn the basics of the job with our fun archaeological bins where you can discover how to use a trowel and a handbroom! You’ll discover unique objects found in Coteau du Lac. Pleasure guaranteed for all ages!

A surprise awaits you – don't leave empty-handed! As an archaeological apprentice, you aren’t used to official digs, but you can still use your budding talents as an appraiser of artefacts and take home a reproduction of a relic found on the Coteau du Lac site by archaeologists!


The Ralliement des Gardes Paroissiales du Canada

Sunday, August 19, 2018, beginning at 1 pm

  • 1 pm: performances of the Gardes Paroissiales du Canada at the Coteau-du-Lac National Historic Site. Between 11 and 20 groups will be on site, gathering more than 100 musicians coming from all over Quebec and Ontario
  • 2 pm: begining of the parade from the national historic site towards the Wilson Pavillon
