Picnic along the Chambly Canal
Chambly Canal National Historic Site
From mid-May to mid-October, go to Lock No. 1,2 or 3 at the Chambly Canal to enjoy the outdoors and the fresh air. This green space close to Chambly’s city centre hosts a series of outdoor concerts throughout summer. On the same occasion, you can see the spectacular demonstration of the opening of the lock gates. This manoeuvre has been preserved and kept the same as it was in 1843 at the opening of the Chambly Canal.
At the other end of the canal, in Old St-Jean, Lock No. 9 park is located close to restaurants and shops.
