The Chambly Canal path: a must-see in Montérégie
This 20 km trail links the cities of Chambly, Carignan and Saint-Jean-sur-Richelieu. Partially gravelled, the path is free of traffic for 16 of its 20 kilometres. Walk along the river and watch the locks and boats peacefully navigate on this historic canal.
On foot or by bicycle, this linear and flat trail allows you to admire the varied and colourful landscapes of Montérégie.
Connected to a vast network
The Chambly Canal path is part of the Route Verte no. 1 network and the Trans Canada Trail. It is connected to La Montérégiade, the Montée du chemin de Chambly, La Route des Champs and the Vallée-des-Forts bicycle axis. Experienced cyclists can discover the region on their bikes!
