The Lachine Canal extends 13.5 kilometres between the Old Port and Lake Saint-Louis.
The navigation season runs from Victoria Day to Thanksgiving (mid-May to mid-October); the path is maintained from April 15 to November 15 and the park is open every day until 11: 00 pm.

The Lachine Canal is located in the southwest section of the island of Montreal. It is accessed by Highway 20, the Metro or by the path.
