Working the locks for Parks Canada: An exciting job awaits!
Parks Canada wishes to fill positions on a temporary or permanent basis for different periods between May to October. Tasks consist of operating the locks, grounds maintenance and customer service.
Candidate must be enthusiastic, physically fit and able to multitask—and enjoy working outside, rain or shine. The lock keepers are known for their exceptional customer service, so it is important to enjoy working with the public.
Candidate must be available from April to October, have completed high school (Secondary V) and hold a driver’s licence. The ability to communicate in English is considered an asset.
The position is well-paying, with an hourly rate between $23.87 and $25.95 depending on experience. (2018)
