Construction began late summer of 2018 and is expected to be completed by end of spring 2020. Work at Meyers Dam involves the conversion of four stoplog sluices to mechanized gates. Modifications and improvements are being made to the existing control building in order to accommodate additional electrical equipment. Specifically, these modifications include concrete repairs and alterations to the piers and deck to accommodate new gates. Additionally, large anchors will be placed to improve the overall stability of the dam. East and west embankment walls are being raised in order to minimize erosion and divert water.

Meyers Dam was originally completed in 1918 and last rehabilitated in 1990.
