Originally built in 1956 and now nearing the end of its operational life, the Warsaw Road Swing Bridge will be replaced with a similar steel bridge in fall 2019. Work will include the replacement of the steel structure of the bridge and surface repairs to the concrete abutments. Once complete, the swing bridge will have full highway load rating.

In order to complete this replacement, Warsaw Road will be closed at the swing bridge for the duration of the project, an estimated 5 to 6 months. Closure and detour details will be provided as we near the start-up of the project.

Parks Canada is investing an unprecedented $3 billion dollars over 5 years to support infrastructure work to heritage, visitor, waterway and highway assets located within national historic sites, national parks, and national marine conservation areas across Canada.
