Are you a geocacher? Have you heard of Adventure Lab? It is the latest geocaching invention, and Parks Canada and the Sault Ste. Marie Canal National Historic Site have launched the Sault Canal Adventure and the Gardening Adventure.

Part of a digital treasure-hunt game known as geocaching, an Adventure Lab is a new type of geocache played on your smart phone. Using the Adventure Lab app, players are guided through the process of finding clues, solving puzzles, and completing “adventures” one location at a time.  In contrast to other cache types, Adventure Lab Caches are virtual (no containers).

If you are craving entertaining outdoor activities to do with your friends or family, then this may be just the thing. Let Parks Canada virtually tour you around the Sault Canal for free, while you solve fun puzzles! We’ll share a bit about the site’s history and show you what’s what. It’s a great way to spend a couple of hours and we bet you’ll discover something new.

Geocaching Adventures are a family friendly activity. So, download the free app and visit the Sault Ste. Marie Canal to participate in the Sault Canal Adventure and the Gardening Adventure!
