    There is a chill in the air and it’s not just the weather! Join us for a brand new Winter Murder Mystery at Fort George National Historic Site! Major Blue is looking for some keen detectives to help uncover a murderer in a classic "who done it?" with an historical winter twist. Explore the buildings of Fort George to uncover clues and interview suspects with hopes of finding the guilty party. Prizes to be awarded to some and fun to be had by all! Tickets are limited so don’t miss out on this unique winter mystery! 

    A special event rate of $14.70 per person applies. Price includes tax; ticketing service fee additional. Tickets must be purchased in advance.

    Take your PA day outside – to the skating rink! Fort George will be closed but the skating rink will be open, weather permitting. Helmet rentals are available for free! Skate rentals are available for $5 for girl’s size 7 and boy’s size 11 to adult’s size 12. Please note all children aged 12 and under must be wearing a CSA approved helmet while on the ice. Skate aids may be used and beginners are encouraged to use the center ice.

    Meet us at the skating rink for the coolest March Break ever! Weather permitting, the rink will be open all week long, with helmet and skate rentals available every afternoon and evening during weekdays and all weekend long. Fort George will be open on Saturday and Sunday, from noon to 4 pm, with free admission for youth 17 and under.

    Monday to Thursday
    10 am to 12 pm – open skate
    1 pm to 4 pm and 5 pm to 8 pm – supervised family skating, with helmet and skate rentals available

    Friday
    10 am to 12 pm – open skate
    1 pm to 4 pm and 5 pm to 9 pm – supervised family skating, with helmet and skate rentals available

    Saturday

    Did you know that Fort George was used as a military training base during the First World War? Join us as re-enactors from across North America bring Camp Niagara to life with demonstrations and displays honouring those who fought in the "war to end all wars." The weekend will feature First World War infantry drills, tactical demonstrations, local museum displays, assault course demonstrations and competitions, and a special “Fly By” from the Great War Flying Museum (weather permitting).
