Parks Canada and re-enactors from across North America bring “Camp Niagara” to life with displays and demonstrations honouring those who fought in the "war to end all wars." Featuring First World War infantry drills, tactical demonstrations, local museum displays, assault course demonstrations, and competitions.

    For one day only, Fort George is filled with pomp and circumstance as War of 1812 re-enactors wear their best to show what life was like for the “upper class” in the colonies. Beautiful uniforms, dresses, and décor adorn the Officers’ Quarters with special demonstrations throughout the day.

    Admission to Fort George is free on Canada Day! Celebrate Canada Day in Niagara-on-the-Lake and Fort George with special activities all day long! The fun begins with a pancake breakfast in Simcoe Park and the 41st Regiment Fife and Drum Corps marching a giant birthday cake down Queen Street. Enjoy music, muskets, and artillery demonstrations all afternoon and a BBQ dinner, live music, and fireworks in the evening!

    Navy Hall

    Join the Friends of Fort George at Navy Hall for a special fundraiser dinner fashioned after the popular Sublime Beefsteak Society of England. Started in the 1700s, the Beefsteak Society came to symbolize patriotic and liberal concepts of prosperity. Throughout the 19th century, the club included royalty, statesmen, and military leaders.  Enjoy a steak dinner, live music, an auction, and great entertainment. All proceeds support student employment at Fort George and Brock's Monument National Historic Sites.

Visit the Officers’ kitchen for hot beverages and historic treats and step outside to catch the flash of fire and the blast of a Brown Bess musket like those used in the War of 1812!
