Battle of Queenston Heights Commemorative Tours

October 6 to 7, 10 am to 5 pm

Join the Friends of Fort George and Parks Canada as we commemorate the 206th Anniversary of the Battle of Queenston Heights, and the death of Major-General Sir Isaac Brock, Saviour of Upper Canada.

Brock's Monument will be open from 10 am to 5 pm. Enjoy guided tours of the battle site and climb the 235 steps to the top to take in the scenic view of Queenston Heights!

Battle of Queenston Heights Commemoration

You are cordially invited to join the Friends of Fort George and Parks Canada as we commemorate the 206th anniversary of the Battle of Queenston Heights and death of Major General Sir Isaac Brock.

Schedule of Events:

  • 10:00 am - Brock’s Monument opens
  • 11:00 am - Guided tour of the battle site with our heritage interpreters
  • 1:00 pm - Guided tour of the battle site with our heritage interpreters
  • 1:30 pm - Featured talk with Dr. Wesley Turner on the life and military career of Brock
  • 2:00 pm - Special walking tour with Ron Dale
  • 3:00 pm - Tour of the Landscape of Nations
  • 4:00 pm - Guided tour of the battle site with our heritage interpreters
  • 5:00 pm - Site closes

Cost of the special commemorative featured talks and tours is $10 per member or $15 for non-members. Tickets for the talk with Dr. Wesley Turner and tour with Ron Dale must be purchased in advance as space is limited. Halloween Ghost Tours

October 12, 13, 14, 19, 20, 21, 26, 27, 28, 30 & 31, 2018

Join us for an exploration of the scariest aspects of haunted Fort George in Niagara-on-the-Lake. This 2-hour walking tour includes stories too frightening to be told on the summer tours, and opens a building (the Officers’ Quarters) that is usually off limits during the summer ghost tours.

All tickets: $25.00.

New Year's Day Levee

January 1, 2019, 3 pm to 4:30 pm

Join Parks Canada and the Friends of Fort George as we ring in the New Year at Navy Hall! Levee celebrations start at 3 pm, and include toasts, music by the 41st Regiment Fife and Drum Corps, and a cannon firing to welcome the New Year!
