Notice of prohibition: Metal detectors

January 20, 2022 until further notice.
Pursuant to 12(1) of the National Historic Parks General Regulations, by order of the Parks Canada Superintendent of the Mainland Nova Scotia Field Unit, it is prohibited to use a metal detector within Port-Royal National Historic Site of Canada.
It is prohibited to:
Operate a metal detector.
Port-Royal National Historic Site of Canada.
To preserve the integrity of the park, minimize disturbance to visitors and enhance the enjoyment of the site.
It is an offence under the Canada National Parks Act to contravene these prohibitions. Violators may be charged.
