Ghosts of Signal Hill
Prepare to have your imagination dazzled, your heart stirred, and your spine tingling—under the cloak of darkness, lit only by lamp light.
From storyteller and celebrated folklorist Dale Jarvis-- award-winning creator of the St. John’s Haunted Hike--comes an evening of ghost stories, historical tales and strange adventures. This time, the drama unfolds on Newfoundland’s most historic hill, after the lights go out.
Join the dashing Lieutenant Ranslaer Schuyler by lamplight inside the historic Queen’s Battery Barracks on Signal Hill. Step inside, take your seat, and prepare for the thrills and chills as local lore and legends unfold.
As the stories gather, you’ll feel the sails cut through the Harbour as you learn of the arrival of phantom ships and strange superstitions. You’ll learn about daring escapes, murdered pirates, ghost ships, buried treasure, tragic drownings, and headless phantoms. You’ll hear of local legends and traditions that have hardened and haunted folks across time.
Will you be able handle the intrigue?
Bring along your flashlight and get the full experience of discovery as you climb up and down the hill, before and after the indoor performance.
