This year, Parks Canada staff will form a mobile information brigade that will go meet with visitors at the five historic canals in Quebec. Throughout the summer, a team of students and dynamic professionals will be on site at various locations, in particular during special events and public gatherings, to provide themed interpretation, which will surely capture the public’s attention.
The themes, in five major categories, (trail safety, work, historic information capsules, the Parks Canada network and lockmasters’ work) will be announced on a calendar that will be shared on the Parks Canada website at parkscanada.gc.ca/canals and on social media. A number of outings per week will be planned from June to August.
