Sunday, June 2
Start the day with a pancake breakfast before the children head out on a giant Easter Egg hunt for the Golden Egg. Try your luck at the hunter challenge, place your bet on the famous chicken races and if you feel adventurous try the “Escape the Fort Challenge”. Demos, vendors and activities will be added to this family day of fun.
National Indigenous Peoples Day
Friday, June 21
We celebrate our Indigenous partners’ culture with a specially designed school program including a mini potlatch, games, Indigenous peoples’ uses of plants for medicinal purposes, and much more.
Monday, July 1
Have a piece of birthday cake, enter the challenges, watch the chicken races and more. Look for the lunch special in the Commemoration café.
Saturday, July 20
The first 100 visitors can be the judges of these tasty treats. Cheer on your favorite salmon cook-off team. Along with the challenges and vendors it is sure to be a busy day.
Saturday, August 24
Who makes the best pie or pickles in New Caledonia? Come and see this fall fair style events. Bid on a pie in the auction, make a caramel apple, join in the games, enter the challenges, feel the heat from the blacksmith’s forge, jam demo, vendors and much more.
Métis DaySunday, September 1
Come and dance a jig, listen to the music, try the tomahawk challenge, vendors, displays and much more. It will be Métis culture at its best.
