Things to do
Free admission day at Fort Rodd Hill and Fisgard Lighthouse National Historic Sites
This one’s on us!
In 2017, to celebrate Canada 150, Parks Canada offered free admission and welcomed over 27 million visitors to our national parks, national marine conservation areas and national historic sites. What better way to say “thank you” to our visitors than to offer a free admission day?
Admission is already free on Canada Day, but we’re adding another day for you to enjoy your favourite activities without paying any admission fees.
In 2018, we will offer free admission on Saturday October 6.
Satisfy your appetite for stories, thrills and bite-size tales on an audio tour at Fort Rodd Hill and Fisgard Lighthouse. Hear about the lighthouse keepers, soldiers and spies who’ve created drama here since 1860.
Join us for a day of cultural sharing as we host a Coast Salish Pit Cook demonstration.
Camp-out beneath the historic walls of a Canadian coast artillery fort in a cozy heated oTENTik. Storm the fort by day and watch the moon and stars rise over Fisgard Lighthouse by night.
