The Saguenay–St. Lawrence Marine Park is recognized as one of the best places in the world for whale watching. There are 13 species that frequent its waters; 6 of these species are more frequently observed. Can you recognize them?
Discover three exceptional sites for whale watching from the shore. You will also have the chance to see seals and seabirds, and to speak with naturalist guides who are passionate about marine life.

Pointe-Noire Interpretation and Observation Centre

Follow the panoramic trail that leads to several observation lookouts and enjoy the spectacular view of the mouth of the Saguenay Fjord.
You may have the chance to see belugas, minke whales, seals and seabirds.
This location has long been a site for beluga research. Visit the exhibit and meet the guide to learn more about the movements and behaviours of belugas, as well as the influence of ocean currents on their habitat.

Whether it's from the rocks or the lookout, keep your eyes and ears wide open. You may have the opportunity to see several species of whales approaching the shore and hear their powerful spout.
All you have to do is let your senses be awakened!

Sitting comfortably in the amphitheatre, you will have a front row seat to observe whales, seals and seabirds in their natural habitat.
You will also have the opportunity to see the divers at work and the St. Lawrence pilots who ensure safety in transportation on one of the most difficult seaways in the world.
