Wondering what the heck staff at the Lake Superior National Marine Conservation Area (LSNMCA) were up to this past spring and summer? Read on to find out what our resources helped out with...

This past spring/summer the Parks Canada team partnered with communities by attending and contributing to many special events along the North Shore (some listed below). Parks Canada offered boat tours, kayaking, Parka mascot, inflatable beaver, guided hikes, children activities, staff resources and participated in parades. When staff members were not at special events or giving presentations, they were busy talking to visitors at tourist information centres to help promote this unique area called Northern Ontario.

Author Ryunosuke Satoro writes it best “Individually, we are one drop. Together, we are an ocean.” Once established, the LSNMCA will be a major tourism anchor along the North Shore of Lake Superior and will be enjoyed by present and future generations. Parks Canada staff thank the communities for their support toward establishment and look forward to working together on future projects and showing the country why Northern Ontario has it all!
