ICEFIELDS PARKWAY CLOSURE DECEMBER 13-15:
Avalanche control work.  Check www.511.alberta.ca for up-to-date road conditions and status.

AVALANCHE CONDITIONS:
The alpine snowpack is deep and avalanche hazard exists. Expect fresh slab avalanches following storms and avoid steep, sun exposed slopes. Carry your avalanche gear, make good, informed decisions and follow safe guidelines. [Mountain Safety] [Avalanche Warnings]

CARIBOU CONSERVATION:
Seasonal closures for caribou conservation in effect for the Tonquin, Maligne-Brazeau and North Boundary ranges of Jasper National Park

WILD ICE SKATING:
The Red Cross recommends an ice thickness of at least 6" for safety; the thicker the ice, the better. It`s up to YOU to assess the thickness of the ice. Parks Canada does NOT monitor natural ice surfaces for safety or mark potential hazards.
