Description of Historic Place
- the Metallic Roofing Company was one of two leading Canadian companies to manufacture architectural sheet metal and to market it around the world, during the 1890-1930 period, when pressed metal was at its height as a building material; and,
- designed in the Beaux-Arts style, it is a rare Canadian building whose interior and exterior comprise a three-dimensional catalogue of architectural sheet metal products.
