Enter the Charron House at Jacques Cartier Park to relive the thrilling adventure of the fur trade era in Canada. Follow the journey of voyageurs and explorers as they travelled across the country from east to west. Make yourself a hat from that period as a souvenir!
Parks Canada Outdoor Zone
Outside Charron House, take part in a voyageur canoe race like a voyageur from the past. Savour a taste of the heritage hot chocolate while listening to a voyageur's stories by the fireside!
Discover with your senses the national parks, the national historic sites and the national marine conservation areas.
Meet Parka, our mascot, and take a picture with her or with our inflatable beaver or behind the funny panels.
At the Canada Science and Technology Museum for "Cool Science Saturday":
Date : Saturday, February 15 from 9am to 5pm
Specialists from the Saguenay St.-Lawrence Marine Park will be on hand as part of "Cool Science Saturday" at the Canada Science and Technology Museum, to discuss the marine mammals that inhabit the waters of the marine park, including the St. Lawrence beluga.
