Ranney Falls dam 10 is located slightly upstream of the Ranney Falls flight lock 11/12 in the community of Campbellford. A fixed bridge sits atop the dam that, together with the swing bridge at the lock, connects over 100 homes on an island to the rest of the community.
Project planning required a significant amount of coordination, as municipal services for these homes run under the deck of the bridge. In addition, a temporary one lane vehicular bridge was installed to alleviate the impact on traffic during construction.
Dam 10 was originally built in 1925 and included a roadway bridge on top of the dam. The dam and bridge were both re-constructed in 1980 just downstream of the original dam. This current dam is mechanized and has a total of six sluice gates to control the water levels and flows. The bridge over the dam is owned and maintained by the municipality of Trent Hills.

Dam 11 is located about 1 km upstream of the downtown core of Campbellford. The log lifter will be fully rehabilitated in order to effectively service 4 all stoplog sluices. Construction access is primarily from the west side, and a temporary access bridge on the downstream monolith is in place for the duration of construction. Boaters can expect can expect a new view when entering the lock chamber.
