National Cost-Sharing Program for Heritage Places

NEW! The Guidelines and Application Forms are now available for the newly expanded National Cost-Sharing Program for Heritage Places. Through Budget 2016’s investment in social infrastructure, an additional $20M is being made available over the next two years for this Program. The deadline to submit an application for funding in 2016-2017 is Friday, June 17, 2016.

The National Cost-Sharing Program for Heritage Places will now be open to owners and eligible lessees of national historic sites, heritage lighthouses and heritage railway stations. The Program continues to support the Parks Canada Agency's mandate of protecting and presenting places of national historic significance, and fostering the public's understanding, appreciation and enjoyment of these places in ways that ensure their commemorative integrity for present and future generations.

For 2016-2017, please note that:

  • Applications must be submitted by or postmarked no later than June 17, 2016.
  • Selected projects must take place between April 1, 2016, and March 31, 2017.
