Waterton National Park - Get to Know Program

As an enduring legacy of their collaboration with Waterton Lakes National Park, the Robert Bateman’s Get to Know Program youth camp painted a mural on the Heritage Centre in Waterton Park. Located within the boundaries of this 116 year old national park, this proud community celebrated its 100th birthday in 2010. Parks Canada was a key partner in the birthday celebrations that included events like the community photo, barbecue, homecoming dance and Canada Day parade. This year, in 2011, Parks Canada, the world’s first national parks service, celebrates its own 100th birthday and Waterton Park will be sure to join the party.
