Les Défis du Parc-Nordique
From February 17 to 20, 2016
Organized by Cyclo-Mauricie, La Mauricie National Park’s Les Défis du Parc-Nordique brings cross-country skiers and snowshoers out to enjoy some friendly competition. The for-day event features several timed activities for classic and freestyle cross-country skiers, snowshoers, runners and bykers.
La Mauricie National Park Kiosk
La Mauricie National Park staff will run a kiosk throughout the weekend to provide information about the activities and services available at the park.
Some cross-country trails will be closed during the event in order to provide participants with the best possible conditions.
February 17, 18 and 19: Between 8:30 am and 2:30 pm, several hundred children will be using a portion of trail 6 between Rivière-à-la-Pêche and Bouchard Lake as part of tackling their challenge. As well, trail 6A will be closed for the day. Trail No. 6A will be closed for 3 days.
February 20: Trail 6 in the Rivière-à-la-Pêche area will be the starting point of several sporting events between 9 am and 9:30 am. That day, the public will enjoy access to the trail prior to 9 am and after 9:30 am. Trail No. 6A will be closed for the day and trail No. 1 will be closed between 9 and 11 a.m.
