Special Events 2016

April

Dark Sky Night
April 9
Visitor Centre parking lot at 8 p.m.

With the coming of mild, springtime evenings, our gaze outwards into the night sky is toward intergalactic space. If the weather is clear, the dark, moonless night sky at Pt. Pelee on this evening will be the perfect place to view a few of the nearer galaxies which, nevertheless, lie far beyond our own Milky Way. They’ll be glimpsed through telescopes operated by members of the Royal Astronomical Society of Canada - Windsor Center.

Join members of the Royal Astronomical Society of Canada at the Visitor Centre parking lot at 8 p.m. Park open until midnight.

What’s Croaking?

Spring is here and love is in the air. Take a stroll through the swamp forest with a park interpreter and hear the nocturnal courtship songs of Point Pelee’s frogs and toads. Stay later and enjoy the other night sights and sounds. Park open until midnight.
