-Rallus limicola (Vieillot)
A small cinnamon-breasted rail with long slender reddish bill and grey cheeks. Our other long-billed rails, the King and the Clapper, are obviously much larger with more than twice its body bulk. Our other small rails have stubby bills, adult-size young in late summer are mostly black.
