Head dark with strong green, purple and bronze gloss with a large triangle of white, starting below the eye and broadening upward over back of head. Neck white. Back and rump black, paling to grey on upper tail coverts. Tail grey. Inner scapulars black, outer ones white with fine black outer edge. Wing coverts mainly white with black along front edge of wing. Primaries blackish. Secondaries mainly white. Tertials black. Wing linings dusky mixed with brown. Breat and sides white, becoming pale greyish on abdomen. Eye brown. Legs and feet pinkish flesh.
