Towhee, Spotted (Provincial Rarety)
Similar to Eastern Towhee, but western races have the wing coverts, scapulars and back spotted with white, but white is more restricted on the primaries; western females have the head, neck and upper parts much darker than in the eastern nominate race (a very dark greyish-brown or greyish black instead of the more cinnamon brown of eastern birds).
