One of several similar small flycatchers with white eye-ring and wing bars. Adults similar to Dusky Flycatcher but upper parts paler and greyer, under parts whitish or greyish; bill relatively longer, the lower mandible flesh colour at base, usually dark anteriorly. Outer web of outer tail feather paler (white or nearly so).
