-Polioptila caerulea (Linnaeus)
Adult male: upper parts mainly greyish-blue; across forehead a narrow line of black, this extending backward over eye; wings slaty, tertials margined whitish; tail mainly black, the outermost feather white, the next mainly white, and the third (from outside) tipped with white; sides of head pale grey; under parts white, the breast and sides with a bluish-grey wash.
Adult female: similar to adult male, but upper parts less decidedly bluish and without the black lines on forehead and sides of crown.
