Top of head and nape bluish grey; line back from eye white; sides of head black; back and scapulars black; rump patch yellow; tail mostly black, with a broad white band across its middle (but not across two centre feathers); wings with two white wing bars; under parts mostly bright yellow, the breast, sides and flanks heavily streaked with black, the under tail coverts white.
