-Stercorarius parasiticus (Linnaeus)
Central tail feathers of adults pointed and never twisted. There are two colour phases, light and dark, both similar to the Pomeraine. The light phase of the Parasitic is slightly paler above; breast band and markings on side when present are decidedly paler and more uniform; yellow suffusion on sides of head and neck less extensive and intensive; and the feathers at the base of the upper mandible are whitish.
