Sparrow, Bachman's (Provincial Rarety)
-Aimophila aestivalis (Lichtenstein)
Wings short, rounded; tail equal to or longer than wing; tail decidedly graduated, the outer feather much the shortest, tail feathers rather narrow with rounded tips.
Adults: upper parts grey or buffy grey, heavily streaked with chestnut brown (becoming greyish on the rump); sides of head buffy grey with thin dark line extending backward from the eye; bend of wing pale yellow; no white in wings or tail; breast sides and flanks buffy, the flanks sometimes streaked with brown; belly greyish white.
