-Ammodramus leconteii (Audubon)
Bill rather slender; tail feathers narrow and sharply pointed.
Adults: Top of head blackish and brown on either side, with a pale-buff stripe down the middle of the crown; hind-neck striped with chestnut and buffy grey; back and scapulars black mixed with brown, the feathers edged with pale buff, pale grey or whitish; broad stripe over eye buffy yellow; narrow line extending back from eye blackish; ear patch greyish, malar region buffy yellow; no wing bars; no white in tail; bend of wing white or whitish; breast, sides and flanks buffy; sides and flanks (but not breast)streaked with blackish; bill bluish; legs dusky flesh colour.
