Meadowlark, Western (Local Rarety)
-Sturnella neglecta Audubon
Extremely similar to Eastern Meadowlark but yellow of throat more extensive, reaching up to lower cheeks (malar region), upper parts paler and more greyish, the feather edges paler and wider, wings and tail more sharply barred (bars not so confluent or run together as in Eastern); sides and flanks more spotted than streaked.
