Tail very long (making up more than half the bird's total length), graduated. Head, neck, back, tail coverts, throat and breast black; scapulars, belly, sides and flanks white; inner webs of primaries largely white; wings glossy greenish-blue; tail glossy green with more or less purple or bronze toward tip; upper rump greyish white; bill and legs black.
