Tail not forked. Sexes similar. Upper parts greenish olive (darker and less pure green than in Acadian Flycatcher); eye-ring and wing edging whitish; wing bars buffy whitish throat and chin white; breast and sides greyish olive; belly, flanks and under tail coverts whitish usually more or less (sometimes decidedly) suffused with yellow.
Young: similar to adults but wing bars decidedly buff, upper parts browner.
