Adults (sexes similar): Upper parts dull greyish-olive, darkest on crown; sides of rump with a patch of white feathers (often concealed by folded wings); wings and tail dusky, the wing coverts with paler tips, the secondaries and tertials narrowly edged whitish; sides of breast, sides and flanks dark greyish-olive; throat, centre of breast, and belly whitish or pale yellowish (contracting with sides of breast) Bill blackish above, pale brownish below becoming dusky toward tip.
