Plover, Piping (Provincial Rarety)
-Charadrius melodus Ord
Small web between outer and middle toes. Similar in size, proportions, and markings to Semipalmated Plover, but brown of upper parts much paler, more greyish, black on head confined to a bar above white forehead and lacking on cheeks; breast band often broken or (in aumumn adults and immatures) very poorly defined or lacking.
