Teal, Cinnamon (Provincial Rarety)
-Anas cyanoptera Vieillot
Head, neck, breast, sides and flanks dark cinnamon-red. Crown and chin blackish. Back, rump, and tail dark brown. Shorter scapulars cinnamon and black, longer scapulars brown with buffy medial stripes and blue outer vanes. Fore-wing blue, the ends of greater coverts white. Speculum iridescent green with black inner and outer borders. Abdomen usually dusky brown. Under tail coverts blackish. Eye orange. Bill blackish. Legs and feet dull orange yellow; webs dusky.
