Inspiring Moss Park Community Outdoor Space

Georgian Bay Islands National Park inspires Toronto residents and visitors to connect with nature and appreciate Canada’s treasured places.

On June 15, 2012, more than 200 volunteers from partnering organisations participated in a Community Build-Day, where the outdoor space surrounding the Moss Park Apartments was rejuvenated and became an inspiring and accessible place to sit, play, connect with nature and get outdoors.

Native plants, cedar logs and granite are among the features of this natural playground; all of these can also be found in Georgian Bay Islands National Park.
