Backpack the Brock River and Hornaday Canyons

Are you ready for mini-Grand Canyons in an Arctic landscape? Few people expect to see the bright green rolling tundra drop dramatically to 170-metre deep amber and red canyons in the Arctic. With your world on your back head out on a multi-day hike into the spectacularly wild Brock and Hornaday canyons of Tuktut Nogait National Park. Watch for a myriad of raptors that nest in the canyon walls and frequent sightings of curious Bluenose West caribou. Tuktut Nogait protects for all time a natural area representative of the Tundra Hills Natural Region. The park is a vast landscape of barren rock plateaus, tundra, rolling hills, valleys, wild rivers, waterfalls, deep canyons and crystal clear lakes.
