Licensed Outfitting Companies

There are three licensed outfitting companies that legally offer guided trips in Nahanni National Park Reserve. Please contact the companies directly to obtain a description of trips offered, as well as current information regarding trip dates and prices.

It is your responsibility to ensure that the outfitter you select has a valid national park business licence. A company or guide operating without a licence is putting your safety, and the safety of others, at considerable risk.

Access to Nahanni National Park Reserve can either be accomplished by an ambitious overland route via Ross River, Yukon or Tungsten, NWT (current information is available upon request), or by chartering a floatplane. Rabbitkettle Lake and Virginia Falls are the only two designated landing sites inside the park. All aircraft require a park-use permit.

Air Charter Services

Air Access Etiquette

Please ensure that each and every visitor has a quality wilderness experience by requesting that your pilot not fly at low level and not fly along the river corridor during your flight into the park. Please remember that if you fly down the river corridor, it not only disturbs wildlife but also other visitors on the river and reduces the quality of their wilderness experience. If you respect the rights of others to a quality wilderness experience, others will respect yours.

The park is dedicated to preserving the wilderness quality of your trip, but it requires your assistance. Please remember that because you are paying for the charter flight, the decision on flight etiquette is yours. Your pilot will be more than happy to comply with your request.

Air charter services are available from a variety of locations which include Fort Simpson, Fort Liard, Fort Nelson, Yellowknife, Watson Lake, and Muncho Lake.

Depending on the size of aircraft your group requires, costs can vary widely. Please contact air charter companies directly for current price information.
