The Wigwam to Stuckless Pond ski trail leads you through some of the most beautiful forest in the park.
Location:
This ski trail begins 1.2 km north of Wiltondale. Trailhead signs are posted on Route 430. The trail can also be started from Route 431 at the Lomond River but here the trail begins with a steep climb up to Stuckless Pond.
Note:

If you plan to go one way, you will need two vehicles: one at Wigwam (Route 430) and one at Lomond (Route 431).

Description:
The trail contains one loop, but it offers several possibilities for novice and experienced skiers. The trail is groomed for single-track traditional and has a warming shelter 4.5 km from route 430, located near Island House Pond. This trail usually has the longest useable season, due to abundant snowfall and shelter, and it can be skied from January well into April.
Length:
Wigwam Pond to warming shelter
(Moderate)
4.5 km one-way

Island House Pond
(Moderate)
6 km loop

Wigwam Pond to Lomond River
(Moderate)
12 km one-way

Warning:

The hill leading down to the Lomond River is steep and ends at a narrow bridge. If it is packed, the hill can be extremely fast. For this reason it is not groomed from here down to the road. This section of trail is recommended for experienced skiers only.
