Learning and Development

We support learning opportunities that promote individual and organizational excellence. An employee’s Learning/Career Plan and our Guidelines on Educational Assistance help guide employees and managers in managing their educational activities and career planning. Employees also have access to leadership courses through Parks Canada others through the Canada School of Public Service.

Community Involvement

Our mountain national parks are very connected to their local communities. We encourage employees to get involved and provide one paid volunteer day each year.

Protecting and presenting our natural and cultural resources is a shared responsibility. We deliver our programs in collaboration with Aboriginal groups, regional stakeholders, local governments, neighbouring communities and citizens, and provincial and territorial governments.
