Beading Demonstration

"You can tell how much a man was loved by the amount and quality of beadwork he wore."

Explore the history of beadwork in Canada and the significance of this art form among First Nations and Metis culture. Observe a Parks Canada Interpreter create an "Octopus Bag" that has shared roots by both the Anishinabe and the Metis. Join us at the Anishinabe Sharing Lodge for a beading demonstration and check out Manitoba's first Indigenous run museum while you are there!

Animal Track Trivia – Campfire

Do you know your animal tracks? Snowy trails are great to watch for signs of winter wildlife. Hone your tracking skills during this "edu-taining" campfire program! Oh yeah, free hot chocolate.
