Program Descriptions

Space is limited. Bookings taken from April 1st to May 1st. Program dates available are Mondays, Thursdays and Fridays from May 26th to June 27th. Book your school program ONLINE through the Friends of Riding Mountain National Park

The Wolves and Elk of the RMNP Region
Interpreters lead groups of students through a lecture and field excursion in the Lake Audy area of the Park. Students are actively engaged in research and monitoring using radio telemetry.
Grades 9-12,  Program length: 2-3 hours

Fees and General Information

  • Program fees apply
  • Students are asked to dress appropriately and be prepared for approximately 2h in the field.
  • It is recommended that an adult accompany each group of 4-6 students. They will be involved in the activities acting as guides.


Explore the park on your own

  • Choose one of seven self-guided hiking trails in RMNP.
  • Explore the Visitor Centre; take in a 30-minute orientation; or watch a video presentation.
