Science-based Action on the Ground projects in Canada's mountain national parks are helping to restore the ecological role of fire, reconnect fish habitat across highways, reduce wildlife-vehicle collisions and recover a species at risk – woodland caribou.
Action on the Ground
is a nation-wide Parks Canada initiative that addresses some of the most pressing ecological challenges in our national parks. By improving ecological health, these projects improve visitors’ experiences and offer learning opportunities that help connect Canadians to the very spirit and nature of their special places.
Parks Canada is proud to be a world-leader in conservation.
