Several facilities and services are available in each of the three areas within the park. For more information on preparing for your visit to these areas, visit our Brochures section.

Long Beach Unit

NOTE: A park use permit must be displayed in your vehicle when stopped in the Long Beach unit of the park. (Long Beach Parking Lot only. Four hour maximum.)

Broken Group Islands (BGI)

Services and facilities in the Broken Group Islands (BGI) are limited. This is a backcountry area and visitors must be self-sufficient.

West Coast Trail (WCT)

A limited number of facilities are offered along the West Coast Trail (WCT). If you are planning on hiking the entire WCT, be prepared for 6-8 days in the backcountry. Facilities on the trail include boardwalk, ladders, bridges, cable cars and outhouses at the most commonly used camping areas. There are no huts for hikers on the WCT.

Services in the neighbouring communities

Bamfield, Port Renfrew and Nitinat Lake can provide basic services, including accommodation, camping, phones, fuel, groceries and tours. There are no banks in these communities so cash and change can be difficult to obtain.
